A few months ago I went in search for a new sofa cover for my IKEA STOCKSUND sofa. I bought the sofa used about a year ago for just €50 and I wanted it to look fresh and new again. IKEA does a really lousy job with the new STOCKSUND covers as I find them quite dull and outdated – what’s up with that IKEA? So I Googled “sofa covers IKEA” but Google translated it to Dutch so I stumbled upon the Dutch website NORSEMAISON and that was a pleasant surprise.
I like the simplicity, the few choices (I don’t like an overkill on choices), and the look and feel of NORSEMAISON. I contacted them and they gave me a really lovely discount for my sofa cover. I took about 4-6 weeks for my sofa cover to arrive and I wasn’t disappointed as it’s lovely and it fits perfectly. The fabric and colour are absolutely stunning and the quality of the sewing is top notch.

I love recycling and up cycling furniture. I don’t understand the need of owning everything new and everything in one go. The table was a car-boot sale from about 20 years ago. The leather chair was found on eBay a few years ago. The wicker chair was a gift from my friend Jo when I opened my shop 3 years ago, the Wood & Wool stool was made by Ingrid many years ago and the cupboard was custom made out of vintage pine for our dining room 3 homes ago. It’s a collection of years this living room and that’s how I like it.

I choose the classic off-white #1 for my sofa. Thank you NORSEMAISON for blowing new life in my used sofa.
