The Christmas tree is gone and the whole house is so empty now. As much as I LOVE all the Christmas fuss, I actually quite enjoy the emptiness. But I do need a bit of green in my life. I’ve never been one for too many indoor plants and I’m definitely not on the Urban Jungle wagon but I do like some greenery here and there, subtle greenery that is.

I go for a few large plants in corners that can’t hold furniture or art. I also like smaller plants to dress up a shelf or to use as decoration. A tray on the table can use a small potted Hellebores or a Hyacinth right now. A shelf goes very well with a baby Pilea or a Crassula.

I’m always up for learning about plants so when I discovered this cutie pie I had to have it. It’s called a Sophora ‘Little Baby’ or a honey tree. I got mine from Green Lifestyle Store with a beautiful ceramic pot. Their collection is amazing and all their plants come with a beautiful pot, boxed up and delivered to your door. You don’t need to do anything but unwrap and find a good spot for your plant. That said; you can actually search on their website for the perfect plant for the perfect spot. I have a very dark entry hall and I wanted a large plant in the centre of the room on top of a table where we can dump stuff on.

So I browsed shadow plants and found the perfect plant. It’s a Norfolk Pine and mine comes in a grey pot and it’s just perfect, it’s like there’s a Christmas tree in the house all year round.
The Green Lifestyle Store plants look extremely healthy and their collection is quite diverse. They currently have a sale going on with 10% off of all their plants and accessories.
